MASSACHUSETTS IS THE TOP AWARDED HOBY SITE IN THE NATION!
Gail Elmore accepted four top awards for the MA site on August 12th at the HOBY Training Institute in Houston, TX. The awards were earned by the performance and accomplishments of the corporate board, seminar staff, and the alumni association, and for exceeding our recruitment goal. We are very proud of the dedicated volunteers who work for MAHOBY. Our team is very talented and strong and they are committed to bringing the positive message of the HOBY program to the youths of our state.
WORLD LEADERSHIP CONGRESS (WLC)
July 19 - 27, 2007 Seven alumni from the 2007 MAHOBY Seminar attended HOBY's annual World Leadership Congress (WLC). More than 400 young men and women from around the world attended this intensive educational program held in Washington, D.C. The MA alumni felt that the experience was OUTSTANDING and well worth it!
Kim Sok says "Meeting people from different countries, states, cultures and backgrounds" was his favorite highlight of the program.
Christine Aghjayam says "The experience (WLC) was life changing, the goodbyes heartbreaking. Every day was filled with cheers, inspirational messages, and the ability to meet people from all over the country and from all over the world."
Brian Kessell says "I had the time of my life at the WLC. I will never forget the lifelong friends that I have made and the experience I had with them."

HUGH O’BRIAN VISITS BOSTON!
Hugh O’Brian and his lovely wife Virginia visited Boston on August 15th. They stayed at the Taj Hotel who extended VIP privileges to them and were excellent hosts. They spent a busy day with Gail and Christine Elmore meeting with the Boston Rotary Club, Life is good founders John and Bert Jacobs, and HOBY alumni and volunteers.
The following day, they met with employees of the Department of Conservation and Recreation. Then, they proceeded to Orleans on Cape Cod and were graciously hosted by Roberta and Geoffrey Guild. On August 18th, they embarked on a cruise.
