Cradles to Crayons - February 5th, 2011

On Saturday, February 25th, HOBY alumni and staff volunteered with Cradles to Crayons at their Giving Factory in Brighton. After a brief training, the volunteers were assigned to sorting jackets. This involved moving clothes from bins into bags and then going through bins of just boys or just girls jackets. Winter and spring jackets were separated and all of the jackets were carefully inspected for any form of damages including rips, stains, missing buttons or broken zippers. Once the jackets passed inspection, they were placed in the bag that corresponded to the correct size. Everyone had a great time and many kids will benefit from having a coat!
